Rise of Nations: Thrones and Patriots, the expansion pack to the critically acclaimed, best-selling real-time strategy (RTS) game Rise of Nations, adds a barrage of new features to the original game. This stand-alone trial version does not require the original retail version of Rise of Nations. You'll also be able to try your hand on the battlefield on one of three different random map types. Play through the tutorial and then get a taste of the Alexander the Great campaign, one of four historical campaigns in the retail version. In the trial version, you can choose between four nations: the Persians from the expansion pack, and three others from the original game.
